Croke Park Tour

Croke Park

Yesterday me and my class went on a trip to Croke park. So we visited the Croke park museum. A lady brought us on the tour and first we saw a short film named 'A summer in September.' Then we went to where the teams buses enter Croke park and the team's changing rooms. We got to stand where the teams are presented with their trophies and some of us even sat in the presidents seat! The best bit was going into the corporate boxes, they were very nice. After the tour we got to try some GAA activities. It was a great day.

Third Class have had a very busy September. Last week they went to the National Art Gallery with Fighting words.
This is what Cameron thought of the trip:

In the National Gallery we looked at the art. It was fun. We got to look at the different rooms where people we not usually allowed to visit. We got to write a story and draw pictures for it. It was great!

A Nice Day

One day, I went outside. The sky was red, the air was fresh, and guess what? Tomorrow, the weather will be great again! The sun will shine brightly in the sky and I'll be outside having fun. So I said to myself, 'I hope I find a cent' because do you know that saying? 'Pick up a cent, it gives you good luck'.
But now, after all, I said I want a piece of cake from someone! I know! I'll go to a nice restaurant in a big city in England. I might take that one o' clock flight over there.

Pancake Monday

By Cian

This week in cooking club we made banana pancakes.  I enjoyed mixing the batter and cooking the pancakes.  I poured the mixture in the frying pan and waited until they went nice and crispy and smelt gorgeous.  I cooked two pancakes, I gave one to Brian to try and he said it was a beaut!

The most popular topping was plain, hot and crispy but you could have maple syrup if you wanted.  All the boys got one except Mr. Bailey, he’ll have to make his own next week.

I enjoyed making them but my favourite part was eating them, I’m looking forward to next week when Liz and Úna will be making Pancakes for all the Larriers.  Úna makes the best pancakes!

My Family

My Auntie Jackie got this present of some cream for her birthday to make herself look younger. It said on the paper to use once a week. She's been trying it for ages but it doesn't work. Actually, you know what? I like my family the way it is. Wrinkles and all.

The Party

One time, I had a party at my home. It was almost the best party ever! Every week, I celebrate a little party in my room. I love it. It is great. I buy loads of sweets and a cake and I sit on my bed gobbling everything up all by myself. Then, I jump up and down for a while and finally, I settle down to play on my DS. It's always a great party!

Spelling Story

"What do you think you're doing?" shouted my ma. She had just caught me wearing her brand new rubber gloves. She had bought them specially to clean the house.
"I'm just using them to clean my bike, Ma. Does it really matter what they are used for?" I asked.
"Well, that's OK, son", she said. "Just as long as you're not using them for writing graffiti on the walls!"
