Year of the Dragon
This week Rang a Trí have been learning all about the festival of Chinese New Year. This year is the Year of The Dragon. The Dragon is said to be afraid of the colour red, of loud noises, and of fire. So it is tradition in China to light red lanterns and set off fireworks to scare the dragon away. Have a look at the boys dragons!
Congratulations Ms. Sally!
Third Class were DELIGHTED to see Ms. Sally back today and so glad we got to meet gorgeous baby Lucy!! Ms. Sally thought all the boys looked really grown up since last time she was in school. One very kind Larrier brought Ms. Sally and Lucy a present in. Cian was really thoughtful and was really happy to give Ms. Sally this Mammy Chick and Baby Chick! I'm sure Lucy will love them. Well done Cian!

Christmas in Lanzarote by Dylan Martin
It was our last day in Lanzarote, we were staying down on the beach. We did snorkeling, banana boating, tubing, speed boating, diving and finally I was pulled home by a boat.
I was with my brother J.J, my sister Leah, Ma, Da, my Nanny, Granda, Uncle Leroy, my Aunties and my cousins. It was a great way to celebrate the last day in Lanzarote.
Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944)
Wassily Kandinsky was a Russian artist. He was inspired by the work of Claude Monet. His style of art is called ABSTRACT art. Most of Kandinsky's work is inspired by geometric shapes such as circles, semi-circles, lines and angles. We took the Kandinsky painting 'Concentric Circles' and created our own pictures using crayons and paint. Have a look at all our paintings together and see how they look like a Kandinsky inspired abstract wall painting. Well done boys!!
